itinerary

Thursday
Soften.

Arrive in the late afternoon and settle in to your luxurious room or cottage. At 6:30pm dinner will be served in the Madrona House, followed by a welcome and opening circle with Founder & Editor of Lucia, Laura Lowery, and a sweet bedtime meditation.

Friday
Breathe.

Begin the day with gentle yoga with Cicely Andree Conway, and your mug of tea or coffee. A healthy breakfast will be waiting for you after a warm shower. Workshop number one starts mid-morning, an insightful exploration into composing an authentic life by Karly Siroky, the branding genius behind Lucia's design. A delicious lunch will fuel your body for the afternoon. It is yours to explore the island, solo or with new friends. Hike Mt. Constitution for breathtaking vistas, wander a trail in one of the virgin forests nearby. Soak up the wild peace of the island. Dinner will be served followed by an inspirational talk about the many ways to listen to your heart, with Laura Lowery. The evening will close with a gentle meditation.

Saturday
Create.

Start the morning with the smell of saltwater breezes from the Salish Sea out your window as you pour your pen onto paper for some creative journaling. Gentle morning yoga. A healthy breakfast. In the mid-morning, enjoy workshop number two, a writing exploration that brings physical movement, breath and artistry together with pen, paper, and presence, by the muse and author, Amanda Ford. Enjoy lunch before an afternoon of spacious freedom. Create your own adventure: visit Eastsound shops and artisans, walk in nature, sip tea, have a heart-to-heart, or let the wind decide. Dinner will be followed by a circle and a talk about honoring the practical foundations necessary to hold our more soul-driven creative lives, by Laura Lowery. Paint with watercolors while you listen, share, relate. A bedtime meditation will be offered.

Sunday
Connect.

Start the morning with gentle yoga and a healthy breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean. A mystery guest who lives on the island will arrive in the late morning for a very special circle. She will share intriguing stories and insight about Orcas Island and the energies here. We will invite her to stay for lunch. Afterwards you will compose your own afternoon. Breathe in, reach out, rest, hike, dance, write, wander. Fill this moment with your newfound awareness of the interconnectedness of the island and your own life. Early evening begins a sharing circle before dinner, where you will be invited (but certainly not required) to share some of your writing from the weekend. A sweet last dinner together will be followed by a closing circle, meditation and dedication.

Monday

Choose to spend your final morning on Orcas Island resting in the luxury of your comfortable bed, or join Laura for a sunrise meditation. After breakfast, you may wish to linger (leaving Orcas comes with its own sweet emotion). We will say our final goodbyes by 11:00am, leaving you with time to either catch the mid-day ferry, or meander your way toward the afternoon or evening boats.
